Core Values

In my work and life, these principles guide me in upholding my core values

I am committed to fostering a diverse and inclusive community that actively values and supports individuals from diverse backgrounds, including those from Fat, BIPOC, LGBTQIA+, Disabled and Neurodivergent communities. I prioritize equity in all aspects of my work, striving to ensure equal opportunities and representation.

As part of my commitment to inclusivity, I center the voices, experiences, and stories of Fat, BIPOC, LGBTQIA+, Disabled and Neurodivergent individuals. I recognize the importance of elevating these voices and their unique perspectives to create a more just and equitable society.

I actively seek out and engage in collaborations with individuals from these communities to ensure their meaningful participation in decision-making, project development, and advocacy efforts. Collaboration allows us to work together towards common goals

I acknowledge the importance of being a steadfast ally to Fat, BIPOC, LGBTQIA+, Disabled and Neurodivergent individuals. I commit to listening, learning, and advocating alongside these communities, supporting their needs and initiatives.

I am dedicated to challenging and dismantling systems of oppression that disproportionately affect these communities. I strive to be an advocate for change, using my platform to address and confront social and structural inequalities that persist.

Ethical Financial Practices

I am dedicated to conducting financial affairs with integrity and transparency

I have significant financial responsibilities, and I unapologetically prioritize earning the income required to meet those responsibilities. I recognize the importance of financial stability in my life and am committed to achieving it.

I firmly believe that I deserve fair compensation for both my time and emotional labor. Financial prosperity enables me to concentrate on pursuing my goals and upholding my values.

Rather than fixating on affordability and accessibility, which varies for each individual, I am dedicated to economic justice. I price my services at a level that empowers me and my team to thrive, while also ensuring that I offer diverse pricing options to accommodate a broad range of individuals

My products and services always include low-cost options. Once I attain my target sustainable revenue each month, I am committed to providing scholarship prices and pro bono work as a way to give back to the community and make my services accessible to a wider audience.

I offer payment plans for higher-cost products and services without any additional fees or interest. I ensure that the total price remains the same, whether it’s a one-time payment or multiple installments, promoting transparency and fairness in financial arrangements.

Ethical Business Practices

I prioritize collaborating with individuals and organizations who align with my core values in all my business endeavors

I uphold transparency and honesty as core values in all business dealings. I commit to providing clear and accurate information to clients, customers, and partners, ensuring they can make informed decisions and trust in my integrity.

I compensate individuals for their services, except when they willingly choose to volunteer their time. In collaborative projects, I prioritize establishing clear boundaries and ensuring that revenue-sharing agreements are mutually agreed upon and transparent.

I am inclined to collaborate with individuals who offer fair compensation for my time and expertise. However, I retain the discretion to waive my fees in cases where I deeply believe in a cause or purpose, understanding that this decision is entirely within my discretion.

I acknowledge my social and environmental responsibilities as a business owner. I strive to minimize my environmental footprint and contribute positively to the communities I operate in. I am committed to sustainable and responsible practices.

I make a conscious effort to share the work and amplify the voices of those whose ideas and work have influenced me. I adhere to the principle of not taking credit for the ideas and contributions of others, recognizing the importance of giving credit where it’s due.

Interaction and Boundaries

These principles set the boundaries against abuse, harassment, and discrimination while fostering respectful interaction

I maintain a strict zero-tolerance policy for any form of abuse, harassment, or bullying. My commitment is to create a safe and respectful environment where all individuals are treated with dignity and empathy.

I do not tolerate discrimination based on race, gender, age, sexual orientation, disability, or any other characteristic. Discriminatory behavior or practices have no place in my community or business, and I actively work to eliminate bias.

Gossip and harmful rumors corrode trust and create a toxic atmosphere. I discourage and do not tolerate gossip within my community or workspace, promoting open and direct communication instead.

I uphold the importance of respecting personal boundaries and consent. I insist on obtaining clear and informed consent in all interactions and condemn any infringement on personal boundaries.

I take a strong stand against cyberbullying, online harassment, and harmful online behavior. My commitment is to maintain a digital space where individuals can express themselves without fear of mistreatment. For further information see below.

Online Conduct

In my online interactions and community management, these principles shape respectful and ethical conduct

I prioritize respect for privacy and consent in all online interactions. I will not share any private messages or comments without explicit consent from the individuals involved.

When sharing screenshots of public comments, I will take care to anonymize them unless the content constitutes harassment or harm. My intention is to protect individuals’ privacy while addressing harmful behavior.

I am committed to safeguarding the well-being of my community. I will promptly block anyone actively seeking to harm myself or others within my online space

I maintain transparency in my moderation approach. I will not delete messages unless they pose a genuine threat to the safety of community members, ensuring open dialogue and accountability.

I recognize the importance of calling out systems and structures of oppression. I am not obligated to make individuals comfortable when addressing these issues and will actively work to raise awareness about oppressive systems.

I will not call out individuals publicly without first making a concerted effort to contact them privately and seek resolution. Public confrontation is a last resort after exhausting private communication attempts.

Accountability And Boundaries

When I make errors, these principles govern my response, emphasizing accountability, learning, and restorative justice

I value good-faith critique and feedback from my community. If we have a prior connection, I encourage you to reach out for a direct conversation about any concerns. Constructive dialogue is a key part of my commitment to growth.

If you and I do not have a prior connection, and you feel compelled to discipline me or engage in public sabotage, I reserve the right to take defensive measures. Whilst I prefer open dialogue and resolution, I will always prioritise my mental and emotional wellbeing.

When I make a mistake, I will openly acknowledge it. I will not attempt to erase evidence of my errors and will hold myself publicly accountable where it is appropriate and necessary.

I believe in the principles of restorative justice, which center the needs of the person who has been hurt. If I have caused harm to someone, I will prioritize addressing their individual needs first, followed by the well-being of the affected community.

I acknowledge that I do not owe anyone my opinions or emotional labor. Attempts to demand this from me will be either ignored or reported. I embrace imperfection, and those who do not resonate with that are welcome to unfollow me.
