Why am I tired all the time?
I’ll give you a hint… it’s got nothing to do with your weight. It’s not because you’re unfit and need to exercise more either. Want to find out what is causing your tiredness? Then you’re in the right place.
So you’ve noticed that you’re way more tired than normal and you can’t help wondering if there’s something wrong. Could it be your thyroid or your iron levels? Maybe it’s hormones? Or is it just stress, and you need to get over it.
Next question you ask yourself is, “should I talk to my doctor about it?”
Because you don’t want to be accused of wasting the doctor’s time, and chances are they aren’t going to take your symptoms seriously. Or worse still, they’ll blame it on your size and you’ll find yourself victim to another unsolicited weight loss lecture.
And to be fair, the world is on fire, both literally and figuratively. Everyone’s exhausted, right? So what makes you special? How do you determine whether there is a medical reason for your constant tiredness, and whether you need to take action?
The truth is, fatigue is a common reason to seek medical advice, but it is rarely taken seriously by doctors. Does that mean we should be ignoring it? Absolutely not! For two main reasons. One, it could be a sign of an underlying condition. And two, it’s impacting your day-to-day life.
Tiredness is overwhelming. There’s a reason that sleep deprivation is a universally acknowledged form of torture. When you’re tired, your brain isn’t firing on all cylinders. This leaves you in a near constant state of emotional dysregulation and overwhelm. You become reactive rather than proactive. The more tired you are, the harder life becomes. The harder life becomes, the more tired you get.
Doctors rarely take fatigue seriously. Instead of tired, they hear lazy, weak, or hypochondriac. You’re told to eat less and exercise more, because as far as they are concerned, this is the universal solution for fatigue and exhaustion.
Reducing your energy intake and increasing your energy expenditure isn’t going to help. It’s just going to make you more tired! The last thing a chronically tired person needs is to be malnourished and energy depleted.
Instead, you need to be heard, validated and understood. It doesn’t matter whether your tiredness has a physical, mental, emotional, or environmental cause. It is still impacting every area of your life. It can be debilitating. And you deserve to be supported.
And, once again, doctors seem to be failing in this department. Which is why I created this masterclass. I’m going to teach you
